Shadow's Dissolution
To banish persistent negative energy or harmful influences from your life, using fire and symbolic dissolution to sever energetic ties.
Ingredients:
Black Candle – Symbolizing the absorption and removal of negativity.
Salt and Pepper Mixture – Represents the contrasting forces of light and dark.
Piece of Onyx or Jet – Acts as an anchor for protective energy.
Fireproof Bowl – To safely burn materials.
Dried Bay Leaves – Represents strength and banishment.
Piece of Parchment and Pen – To write what is being banished.
Bell or Drum – For sealing the energy and signaling the end of the ritual.

Cleansing and Preparation:
Begin by smudging the area with dried sage or rosemary. Circle your space counterclockwise, focusing on pushing out unwanted energies.
Create the Banishing Space:
Sprinkle a circle of the salt and pepper mixture on your workspace or altar. Place the black candle and fireproof bowl in the center. Hold the onyx or jet stone in your hands, visualizing it as a protective barrier.
Write the Target:
On the parchment, write the name or description of what you wish to banish, such as: “Persistent fear of failure” or “Negative energy from [specific source].” Place the parchment in the fireproof bowl.
Call Upon the Energy:
Light the black candle and say:
“Flame of night, shadows bright,
Burn away this harmful blight.
Bound and banished, take thy flight,
Be gone, be gone, this very night.”
Burn and Dissolve:
Add the bay leaves to the fireproof bowl atop the parchment. Light them with the black candle’s flame and watch as they burn. Visualize the energy being consumed by the flames and dissolving into smoke.
Seal the Banishment:
Ring the bell or drum three times, declaring:
“The ties are severed, the bond undone,
The circle holds, this spell is spun.”
Grounding and Completion:
Bury the ashes outdoors, far from your home, as a final release. Extinguish the candle and keep the onyx or jet stone near you as a protective talisman.
